Installation

A quality design is crucial to the overall function of your system. No two landscapes are alike; therefore each property must be thoroughly evaluated. There are many factors to consider when designing a quality irrigation system:

  • Separating sunny areas from shaded areas,
  • Understanding soil composition, grading and overall terrain.
  • Plant identification; knowing the plant material we are working with and understanding watering requirements help us in determining which watering method is required.

Other options available in designing a system include the installation of automatic pool fills, automatic pond fills, outdoor showers, fountains and hose bibs. All of these items can help to make a homeowners life easier, as well as provide enjoyment and value.

In addition, it is important to us to design a system that is expandable and adaptable to change, as many of the projects we are involved in are done in phases.

We design all of our systems so that all the components are accessible for service. When taking over an existing system, we perform thorough evaluations to better understand your property and its individual needs. We maintain detailed records on every job we visit so that this information can be accessed and passed on to our technicians resulting in quick diagnosis and repair.

Water Features, Ponds & More
Ponds and water features add beauty, tranquility and value to your home. A significant number of homeowners nationwide are installing some sort of water feature. Blue Tides custom designs, installs and maintains ponds, waterfalls, fountains and more.

One of the most important factors in design is location. When it comes to design, our staff understands that the balance of nutrients is key to maintaining a healthy ecosystem. We will help you to find a location that takes into account factors such as surface runoff, excessive sun or shade so that you can enjoy your feature for years to come.

Drip Irrigation
Drip irrigation is not new to the industry by any means, however the way we utilize it impacts the way we think about watering. Drip irrigation goes back as far as the 19th century. It was used in regions where water availability is limited and soil compositions made plant growth nearly impossible. Now due to years of research and technical development, drip irrigation has found a new home in both commercial and residential applications globally. By incorporating this method into our design and construction we can further contribute to water conservation while promoting healthier, more sustainable plant growth. Traditional watering methods can be susceptible to surface runoff, evaporation, and wind shear resulting in plant and structure damage and inconsistent coverage. Drip irrigation applies the water directly to the roots without watering sidewalks, cars, and structures. Drip irrigation can be used to water lawn areas where traditional overhead watering is not an option. Blue Tides irrigation specializes in drip irrigation. We custom design these systems to be as effective and efficient as possible, while showing little or no signs of its existence.
